The Gilbert Community

Located in the south-central region of the state, the Phoenix suburb was originally established by William Gilbert as an agricultural community. Once the Arizona Eastern Railway arrived in 1902, the city grew. The thriving metropolis is within close proximity to the Saguaro National Park and the Tonto National Forest. Local points of interest include the Gilbert Historical Museum, the Higley Center for the Performing Arts and the Riparian Preserve.
